We're ready to play some ball and can't wait to see everyone at the park tonight for the start of league play. A couple quick notes for everyone to ensure they have a great start to their league.
You will have umpires and will play full games this evening, but the end results will not count in the season standings. So if you're nervous, take a deep breath and relax - no pressure tonight! Use this as an opportunity to meet your fellow teammates and get acclimated to the park.
Our league is specifically built to be fun and welcoming for players are all skill types. If you are a regular weekend tourney player, some of your teammates may never have picked up a bat before - so be ready to help coach them up.
If you are a brand new player to the game, WELCOME! Our best advice for you is to be honest with your coaches and teammates and come ready to learn.
Every squad has a handful of pros, and a handful of average joes - just the way we like it. The winning squad at the end of the season will be the one that gels the best so come with an open mind and have fun with your new teammates.
The schedule has been posted so please find your team to find your game time and your assigned field. If you haven't heard from your team coach yet, please show up at least 15 minutes early and we'll help you find your squad. No matter what - just show up tonight and we'll get you where you need to go.
Commissioner Brad will be onsite ready to help everyone get where they need to go, so if you need a direct point of contact, text him at 469.267.8205.
Uniforms have been ordered but will not arrive for a week or two, so come dressed comfortably, ready to play. Cleats are a good idea, but no metal spikes - please. Bring your softball glove but if you don't have a bat - don't sweat that yet. Come learn about bat certifications and styles from your teammates and if you ask nicely, folks are generally happy to share.

The softball season is nearly upon us and we're ready to play some ball. After discussions with the parks, however, we do need to implement a one week delay and begin our season NEXT WEEK, March 4. We apologize for this inconvenience but look forward to seeing you on the fields next Tuesday, March 4.
